2K DCP Specifications

• Resolution: 2048x1080
• Aspect Ratios: Flat (1998x1080), Scope (2048x858)
• Smaller file size: Faster uploads, easier storage
• Universally compatible: All digital cinema projectors support 2K
• Recommended for: Short films, budget-conscious creators, festivals that do not require 4K

4K DCP Specifications

• Resolution: 4096x2160
• Aspect Ratios: Flat (3996x2160), Scope (4096x1716)
• Higher image fidelity: Great for films shot in 4K+ or heavy VFX/landscape work
• Larger file size: Longer upload and render times
• Compatible with modern projectors: But may be downscaled to 2K in some theaters
• Recommended for: Features, cinematic visuals, high-end festival screenings

Which One Should You Choose?

If your film was finished in 1080p or 2K: Choose 2K for fastest delivery and perfect compatibility.

If your film was finished in true 4K: Choose 4K to preserve sharpness and detail—but check if your festival supports 4K projection.
